IRC & Go Kart

After my last paper ( Macroeconomics) on the 28th of May, I went to IRC (BB Bazaar) to have lunch with my close friends. 2 objectives for this gathering; 1) spend time with Vriesia since she can't join us for our Melaka Tour ; 2) Finalize our Melaka Tour itineraries.

One thing that i realize when I'm at IRC is that, most of the local workers there have been replaced with foreign workers (Bangladeshis i think). Had some communication problem with one of the waiter who took our orders. I'm not sure whether he is local or foreigner, coz he looks like local to me. Communicate with him in English, but looks as if he dun understand. So, i converse in BM, still he look so blur.. duh.. =.=".. At last, just show him what I want. Dunno why la IRC hire him as waiter..

That's not the only problem with IRC, the food quality is deteriorating too. I ordered "Thai sauce chicken chop rice "(some sort like that la the name) & "iced jasmine tea". OMG!! the rice they serve together with the kerak, while the chicken is tasteless & not properly cook. The jasmine tea has a weird taste... at least for me.. Haiz..

After that awful lunch, we start to finalize our itineraries while waiting for Pav & Mathan to arrive, before heading to Ayer Keroh for go-kart.

Entering Gamma year (2nd year Degree) in 2 weeks time.. More & more heavy subjects coming..

Where Am I?

Final exam is just 4 days from now. 4 days!!! not 4 months.. or 4 weeks. I'm sure everyone is busy studying, revising or doing past year papers. But where am I? still stuck in the same subject. I'm moving really slow, slower than the snail. Haiz.. It's like others are reaching their destination & I'm just coming out from my house to start my journey.

What happen to me?!! I wonder.. I know the papers are not going to be easy, but... I just can't feel the tension or pressure.. I'm still in the super relaxing mood, doing nonsense.. I just feel demotivated to study... Izit because I'm too tension without realizing it myself till I dunno what to do & make me trap in this situation? I feel guilty to myself for being in this situation. Looking at my bro studying makes my feeling worse. But... it's just I can't make all the things i study stuck in my brain!!

Can I make it for the final? What ever it is, I still have to make it possible. huhu.. sad..

IT'S FINAL EXAM!!!

Wesak

Join the Wesak Day procession yesterday night. This is the 1st year i join the procession. Ha.. At last i manage to join the procession. I've always wanted to join the procession since my schooling days, but because of tuition and other stuffs, so I terpaksa lupakan eh.. should say tangguhkan my niat.

The 2 1/2 hours walk started from Seck Kia Eenh temple in Gajah Berang to clock tower to Jalan Hang Jebat and back to the temple. Took that opportunity to stroll around Melaka at night.

Saw several beautiful floats but at the end oni realize i didn't snap any pics. So, juz b4 i went back, i snap these pictures. (Sorry, low quality photos).

What to cook?

Wake up early this morning and feels like cooking since i have no class today. Walk straight to the refrigerator. [Open the top door (freezer)]. Wah!! Good! there's fish & chicken.

(Open the lower compartment, search here & there). Found peria (bitter gourd). Great!!

I'm gonna cook "Ayam masak asam peria" & "Sweet sour (Promfret) fish". No vege today coz didn't realize there's cabbage there until i finish cooking.. huhu.. My mum called me mata sepet coz never open my eyes to find properly.. swt... hehe..

So, here's how both dishes turn up at the end..

Make it through..

At last MUMOS (Multimedia University Movie Society) Night 2009 is over last week (17 April 2009). *Relief* We (high committees) have gone through lots of problems from the beginning. From the committee recruitment till the night itself, there's always problems that pops-up which makes the event almost impossible. however, we still make it through till the end. Although not to the extend of having the "WOW!!" factor, but i would say that I'm satisfied with it. Not going to blog about it in detail. Congratulations to all the committees for their hard work to make this event possible.

After one-by-one problem came up during the day, the presence of these special people really makes my day. (Thanks Lee Hoon for the pics).

Qing Ming

Manage to follow my relative for Qing Ming ( also known as "cheng beng") this year. Not many people can make it this year as we went on Friday, so most of them working lo. We went around 4 pm ( I dunno why la they choose that time, it's sooo.. HOT!! OMG). It's not difficult to find my ancestors graves because all my deceased relatives' graves are group together in one area. According to my grandparents, the cemetery land belongs to our ancestors. Almost all the graves belongs either to my relatives or family's friends.

I really salute my grandparents, granduncles & grandaunties. Despite their age, they are able to bear themselves under the HOT sun to pray their parents & grandparents. I really can't tahan the heat, I can feel that my skin is burning. So every now & then, I lari to get the shade (The price I have to pay for not bringing any cap or umbrella).

Look at them, bersemangat under the hot sun.. shame on me.. :(

The whole process took about 1 1/2-2 hours. Imagine I've been "grilled" under the sun for that period till whole face so red like udang masak. -.-"

The entire process do not stop here. It followed with prayer at home the next day. Sorry no photos for that because I was too busy helping my grandma preparing food for prayers.

It's so much fun to engage in family activities like this once in a while (minus the being "grilled" part). So many stories, so much laughter & as usual, so many FOOD!! ;P.
