Qing Ming

Manage to follow my relative for Qing Ming ( also known as "cheng beng") this year. Not many people can make it this year as we went on Friday, so most of them working lo. We went around 4 pm ( I dunno why la they choose that time, it's sooo.. HOT!! OMG). It's not difficult to find my ancestors graves because all my deceased relatives' graves are group together in one area. According to my grandparents, the cemetery land belongs to our ancestors. Almost all the graves belongs either to my relatives or family's friends.

I really salute my grandparents, granduncles & grandaunties. Despite their age, they are able to bear themselves under the HOT sun to pray their parents & grandparents. I really can't tahan the heat, I can feel that my skin is burning. So every now & then, I lari to get the shade (The price I have to pay for not bringing any cap or umbrella).

The whole process took about 1 1/2-2 hours. Imagine I've been "grilled" under the sun for that period till whole face so red like udang masak. -.-"

The entire process do not stop here. It followed with prayer at home the next day. Sorry no photos for that because I was too busy helping my grandma preparing food for prayers.

It's so much fun to engage in family activities like this once in a while (minus the being "grilled" part). So many stories, so much laughter & as usual, so many FOOD!! ;P.

Cooking freak

It was 1 week mid term break last week. Dunno why suddenly I became a cooking freak.Kept thinking about what to cook?Maybe because it's been quite some time since I step into the kitchen and get my hands busy into cooking or it is I was too bored & lazy to study. Huhu.

Cooked few dishes & baked a cake.(No worries, my food is safe for consumption. Till now, no one had diarrhea or food poisoning). ;) The taste ok la not bad, not as nice as my mama's cooking. Hmm, had to learn her cooking skill more. Hehe..

Just realized that I took only 1 picture. Haiz.. next time must remember to snap pictures.

IVAQ 2009

Attended the Inter Varsity Accounting Quiz (IVAQ) 2009 on 7th March at Seri Negeri. Actually, we didn't want to go, but we were some sort "force" to go because our lecturers adding few bonus marks for our midterm exam to those who attend the event. I can say that majority of the students came just for the marks lo. I don't regret went for the quiz coz looking at how bad i did for my midterm exam :( (juz ended this morning, another paper is after midterm break) , I really hope the bonus marks help me to pass my papers, although its just few marks. *pray*

Back to the story, reached there quite early. I'm not gonna talk much about the event. 1st half of the day is like.. waiting.. opening ceremony..waiting.. lunch... 2nd half of the event, more waiting... quiz began... If talk about the quiz, its beneficial to us. I've learnt few new things. In terms of the event organization, what i can say is need to improve lo. It's kind of kelam-kabut, maybe due to the problems that suddenly popped-up, which then cause the event to be delayed.

Update..

Woohoo!! 3 weeks never blog edy. This shows how busy I am, no time la. First 2 assignments due in two weeks time. Midterm also in the same week... 3 papers sum more. Haiyo.. Tu belum include other activities lagi. huhu. Stress level accumulating & rising up ( am I really stressed? Dun look like that also.. Haha).

I will blog about my recent activities after i get the pictures from my friends. Gotta continue doing my Critique Essay assignment.

Yee Lin's Birthday

Went Yee Lin's birthday party at her house yesterday. Jasmine, Sherryn & me were the earliest there around 4.00 pm we reached there already. Not because we all so greedy & tak sabar-sabar wanna eat ok.., but just to accompany the birthday girl & share her happiness with her (Awww.. are you touched Yee Lin?).

While waiting for other guests to arrive we make ourselves busy karaoke-ing.Yee Lin & Jasmine are showing their singing skill.

More and more guest started coming around 6 something. Everyone was enjoying their time with the delicious food & karaoke session.

Beta sem 3 2008/2009

It's already the 2nd week of the new semester and yet, I still didn't manage to adapt myself into my new schedule 100%. For the passed few days, I had a hard time trying to sleep at night which make me ended up going to class with the half-open eyes everyday and forcing myself to stay awake for the whole day. I just can't figure it out what's the matter. WHY? WHY? WHY?! Is it because I have so many things to do this semester? or I'm giving to much tension to myself to study? huhu..

I'm taking 6 subjects this semester.

BAC1624 : MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING 1.
BAC1634 : FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & REPORTING 1.
BAC1644 : PRINCIPLES OF FINANCE.
BAE1024 : ADVANCED MANAGEMENT ENGLISH.
BEC1624 : MACROECONOMICS.
LCB1010 : CHINESE FOR BEGINNERS.

Chinese New Year 2009 (part 1)

Hopefully it's not too late for me to update about my Chinese New Year (CNY) Celebration. I was quite busy this semester. I have 6 subjects this semester.. *Pheww..* can't imagine how my life gonna be by the end of this semester.

Anyway, back to the story, this year I'm lucky because I got the chance to go back my grandparents place. Usually I'll go back on the eve of CNY. If I'm not mistaken, the last time I had the chance to go back early (grandparents' place) is during my primary school period. *Fuh* lamanye..

Well, I went back early to help my mama (grandma) with the preparation. Here is one tip for you people on how to handle kids + make your work easier. Hehe. If you can't stop them from disturbing you doing work, let them "help" you while you sit back and relax. wahaha..

One thing that come across the visitors' minds every time they come to my grandparent's place is of course MANY MANY DELICIOUS FOOD!! All the ingredients for the food are prepared starting as early as 2 days before CNY.. non-stop. And the next thing you know is that all the food habis licin in few hours!!

The kitchen at 4 am 1st day CNY morning. This budak also sibuk wake up so early.

The kids are usually the most happy ones when it comes to CNY. No need do work and their only work is collecting ang pows. Haiz, miss my younger days when at the end of the 1st day of CNY, my bro, uncle (not married during that time) & me will sit together to count and compare our ang pow collection. Haha..
